January 7, 2023 - Almost sunny in Behchokǫ̀

Behchokǫ̀; a community located a short 100(ish) kilometres northwest of Yellowknife. We took our first "road trip" to visit the community on January 7.  

Such a friendly place. We met the owner of this beautifully decorated yard. So much work went into this!

I was excited to learn that road trip rules are different than regular driving rules - snacks in the Jeep!!

We ventured on to the winter road between Rae and Edzo and almost saw the sun! It was a pleasant surprise given it has been cloudy for what feels like 100 days so far this year. 😩

I enjoyed the look of this bridge.

Before heading back to Yellowknife we stopped at the gas station for lunch. 😆
