February 09, 2022 - Frozen house boats and snow castles in the making

Over the weekend we went walking along the "streets" of Great Slave Lake to check out some of the house boats. There are some pretty interesting homes out there! 

It will be neat to see these floating homes in the open water season.

We also got a sneak peak of the snow castle in the making. Work on the castle will continue over the next month or so. We look forward to checking in on progress and seeing the finished product!

The local snow carvers who created this sculpture recently won second place and peoples choice at a snow carving competition in Sweden! ❄ This was their practice sculpture. 😲
