January 30, 2022 - Exploring our new surroundings

Getting used to city life and settling in to our new work lives has left us both feeling a little off-kilter the last while. So this weekend it was time to search for balance! 

We rented a car to make getting around a little easier. A positive perk to living in a bigger place.

Our first stop was at NWT brewing to test out some local craft beer. 🍻

I was quite excited to take in some recycling! ♻️ 

We also did a bunch of running around, which was much faster than walking to each place! Saturday ended with a stop at the bush pilot's monument and a quick trip down the ice road.

Sunday we hit the highway with our snowshoes in tow. It felt good to get out to enjoy the fresh air, the trees and check out some trails. 👌

Back in the city, we treated ourselves to freshly baked doughnuts from a local coffee shop/bakery. 😋🤤 

Phew, all that in a tiny corolla! 🚙 ...and now, we tackle week four!
